This blog, or log, will be about our travels from Trogir in Croatia, to Caribbean, with a start of june 2016. The ship that will take us there is a Bavaria 49, year 2004.

At least, that is what we thought when we started this blog. However it has been a change of plans, we ended up not buying a Bavaria 49 and decided to not sail across the Atlantic. Instead we bought a Seascape 18 that will be driven on a trailer and sailed across Europe this summer. The idea of the trip is that it will be a middle-of-the-life-adventure for to middle aged men with gray hair. A boat and roadtrip like it should have been done 30 years ago. But a few things, like house, kids and dog, came in between.

Take a look at the blog for more news from the trip.

Signia Cruises dream team consists of Anders Bergman and Kjell Johnsson. We are two friends who have known each other for 20 years. We started our company Signia Vvs & Drift AB in the fall of 2008. Now we feel that it is time to take some time off from the stress as self-employed and instead enjoy sailing and a true adventure.  We are going to try be good at filming, taking photos, and writing blog posts. That’s of course very much for our own sake, so we will have something to look back at when we are sitting in the rocking chair at the old people’s home. But I also hope that we can inspire som people to take the chance to a real adventure, because it is never to late. Or as Bilbo nicely put it:

“It´s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out you door. You step onto the road, and if you don´t keep your feet, there´s no knowing where you might be swept off to”
